FAQ’s (Frequently Asked Questions)
What are your hours of business? In a Nutshell is open Mondays through Fridays, 8AM-4PM. Do you provide free delivery? On orders above $200 and within the SF. Bay Area we deliver free on our own trucks. Outside the delivery area, we use common carriers and UPS to deliver orders to our customers at freight cost. What is your delivery schedule? Please contact our office for an updated delivery schedule. How do I order? Simply call our order desk and dial extension 300. 1-510-635-5050 during business hours. Orders may be faxed to 510-638-8835 24 hours a day. Via email at orders@inanutshell.com. Do you offer credit terms? In a Nutshell does offer credit terms once a customer has submitted our credit application and professional credit references and are approved. Do you take Visa? Yes. Is your facility inspected? Yes. The CA Deptartment of Public Health certifies our warehouse and inspects the facility, trucks, sanitation, and packaging areas frequently to insure wholesome and sanitary practices. Does your product have tracking and lot codes? Yes. All In a nutshell vendors comply with industry tracking and lot code procedures to insure that all products can be identified. Do you have a recall plan in effect? Yes. In a Nutshell is prepared to identify and communicate any and all issues that may arise pertaining to product safety and quality. Are your products Kosher Certified? Many are Kosher, Natural, and Organic. Call for details of a specific item. Are you Organic Certified? Yes. What is your return policy? In A Nutshell accepts returns made within 7 days of delivery which are unopened, in saleable condition and have been properly stored.
For returns after 7 days, we may authorize or deny a return at our discretion. Factors may include but are not limited to the length of time the product has been out of our possession, the condition of the product and/or packaging at the time of the return, the conditions under which the product has been stored and the reason for returning the product. Customers are responsible for any freight cost necessary to return the product, unless the product proves to be inconsistent with product specifications upon delivery or was delivered as a result of an In A Nutshell error. We will gladly pick up any authorized return product at the time of your next delivery. In A Nutshell may charge a 20% restock fee for product approved for return after 7 days. All custom packed items, such as spices, have a mandatory 20% restocking fee regardless of the return date. All Special Order items have a NO RETURN policy. A store credit will be issued for approved RMAs only after an inspection by authorized staff members. The credit will be associated with the original invoice, but have its own reference number. If the credit is not used after 12 months, a refund may be issued. Contacts and Questions?
